Let’s open our Bible to Mark chapter 16 verse 16 and read together: Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; Romans 6:3 Do you not know that those of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Today we study, fellowship, and share "Salvation and Glory" No. 2 Speak and offer a prayer: Dear Abba Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, thank you that the Holy Spirit is always with us! Amen. Thank the Lord for sending workers through the word of truth written and spoken in their hands → giving us the wisdom of the mystery of God that was hidden in the past, the word that God predestined for us to be saved and glorified before all the ages! By the Holy Spirit It has been revealed to us. Amen! May the Lord Jesus continue to enlighten our spiritual eyes and open our minds to understand the Bible so that we can see and hear spiritual truth→ Understand that God predestined us to be saved and glorified before the creation of the world! 【1】He who believes and is baptized will be saved
Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.
ask: He who believes and is baptized will be saved → What do you believe to be saved?
answer: Believe in the gospel and be saved! → Said: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel!" Mark 1:15
ask: What is the gospel?
answer: The gospel is God sent the apostle Paul to preach the "gospel of salvation" to the Gentiles → What I received and preached to you: First, that Christ died for our sins and was buried according to the Bible; and according to the Bible He was resurrected on the third day. Reference--1 Corinthians 15 verses 3-4.
Note: As long as you believe this gospel, you will be saved. This is the gospel of salvation! Amen. So, do you understand clearly?
ask: Be baptized by faith→this” baptized "Is it the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Or Wash with water
answer: He who believes and is baptized will be saved → This " baptized "yes baptism of the holy spirit , because only " Baptized in the Holy Spirit "In order to be reborn, resurrected, and saved! Amen. As John the Baptist said → I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." Mark 1:8 → Acts 11:16 verse, I remembered the words of the Lord: "John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit." ’; and “to be baptized in water” is to be incorporated into the death of Christ. This “ Wash with water "Not concerned with getting rid of the filthiness of the flesh - see 1 Peter 4:21." baptized in water ” is not a condition for salvation, Only " Baptized in the Holy Spirit " Only then can you be reborn and saved .
ask: How to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit?
answer: Believe the gospel, understand the truth, and be sealed by the promised Holy Spirit → In Him you also believed, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. This Holy Spirit is the pledge (original text: inheritance) of our inheritance until God’s people (original text: inheritance) are redeemed to the praise of His glory. Reference--Ephesians 1:13-14. So, do you understand clearly?
【2】Be baptized into Christ, put on Christ and receive glory
Romans 6:5 If we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall also be united with him in the likeness of his resurrection;
(1) If we are united to him in the likeness of his death
ask: How are we united to Christ in the likeness of his death?
answer:" Be baptized into Christ with water! This is to be united with Him in the likeness of death → Don’t you know that those of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Reference – Romans 6:3
ask: Why is “baptism in water” a form of death and union with Christ?
answer: Because Christ was crucified for our sins → He had a shape and a body and was hung on the wood. The "sin body" hung on the wood is our "sin body" → Because Christ bore our sins and "substituted" "Our sinful bodies were hung on the tree, and God made the sinless ones to "replace" our sins by being hung on the tree → God made the sinless ones to become sins for us, so that That we might become the righteousness of God in him. Reference--2 Corinthians 5:21
So “being baptized with water” into the death of Christ → uniting our shaped bodies by baptism to the shaped body of Christ hanging on the tree → this is “being united to him in the likeness of his death”. When you are "baptized in water", you are announcing and testifying to the world that you were crucified with Christ! The "yoke" of being crucified with Christ is easy, and the "burden" is light → this is the grace of God! Amen. So, do you understand clearly? That’s why the Lord Jesus said: “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Reference – Matthew 11:30
(2) Be united with Him in the likeness of His resurrection
ask: How to be united with Christ in the likeness of his resurrection?
answer: To “eat and drink the flesh and blood of the Lord” is to be united with Christ in the likeness of his resurrection → Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of Man, you have no life in you. In you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life. I will raise him up at the last day. My flesh is truly food, and my blood is truly drinkable. abide in me, and I in him. Reference - John 6:53-56.
(3) Eat the Lord’s Supper
What I preached to you was what I received from the Lord. On the night when the Lord Jesus was betrayed, he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is given for you.” (Ancient Scrolls: Broken), do this in remembrance of me.” After supper, he also took the cup and said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Whenever you drink from it.” "Do this in remembrance of me." Whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you declare the death of the Lord until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
【 3】Put on Christ and receive glory
Therefore you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Galatians 3:26-27
ask: What does it mean to put on Christ?
answer: "Put on Christ" → "Put on" means to wrap or cover, "wear" means to put on, put on → When we put on the spirit, soul and body of the "new man" Christ, we are clothed with Christ! Amen. So, do you understand clearly? →Always put on the Lord Jesus Christ and do not make arrangements for the flesh to indulge its lusts. Reference - Romans 13:14. Note: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all - 1 John 1:5 → Jesus said to everyone again, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." ” John 8:12. Therefore, only when we put on the new man and put on Christ can we shine, have glory, and glorify God! Amen. So, do you understand clearly?
