(1) Break away from the evil passions and desires of the old human flesh
ask: What are the evil passions and desires of the flesh?
answer: The works of the flesh are obvious: adultery, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, dissensions, heresies, and envy. , drunkenness, revelry, etc. I told you before and I tell you now that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. --Galatians 5:19-21
We were all among them, indulging the lusts of the flesh, following the desires of the flesh and the heart, and by nature were children of wrath, just like everyone else. --Ephesians 2:3
Put to death therefore the members of your body which are on earth: fornication, impurity, evil passions, evil desires, and covetousness (which is the same as idolatry). Because of these things, the wrath of God will come on the sons of disobedience. You also did this while you lived in these things. But now you are to renounce all these things, along with wrath, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, for you have put off the old man and its practices - Colossians 3:5-9
[Note]: By examining the above scriptures, we record that → Indulging in the lusts of the flesh and following the desires of the flesh and the heart are by nature children of wrath → Those who do these things will not inherit the kingdom of God. →When Jesus died for all, all died →"all put off" the old man's flesh with its evil passions and desires. Therefore, the Bible says that you "have put off" the old man and its deeds. "He who believes" has put off the evil passions and desires of the flesh. "He who does not believe" will bear the sins of the flesh. The Scripture also says this: He who believes in Him is condemned, but whoever disbelieves is already condemned. So, do you understand clearly? Refer to John 3:18
(2) New man born from God ; Not belonging to the old man of flesh
Romans 8:9-10 If the Spirit of God dwells in you, you are no longer of the flesh but of the Spirit. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the soul is alive because of righteousness.
[Note]: If the Spirit of God "dwells" in your hearts → you will be reborn and resurrected with Christ! →The regenerated "new man" does not belong to the old man Adam came to the flesh →but belongs to the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, and God. So, do you understand clearly? If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. If Christ is in you, the "body" of the old man is dead because of sin, and the "spirit" is the heart because the "Holy Spirit" lives in us, which means it is alive by the righteousness of God. Amen! So, do you understand clearly?
Because our "new man" born of God is hidden with Christ in God → the "new man" born of God → "does not belong" → the old Adam and the evil passions and lusts of the old man's flesh → so we "have" been separated from the old The evil passions and desires of man and the old man. Amen! So, do you understand clearly?
