Peace to my brothers and sisters in God’s family! Amen
Let’s open the Bible to 1 Corinthians 15, verses 3-4, and read together: For what I also delivered to you is, first of all, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
Today we study, fellowship, and share "Salvation and Glory" No. 3 Speak and offer a prayer: Dear Abba Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, thank you that the Holy Spirit is always with us! Amen. Thank the Lord for sending workers to give us the wisdom of the mystery of God that was hidden in the past through the word of truth written and spoken by their hands, which is the word that God predestined for us to be saved and glorified before all eternity! Revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. Amen! Ask the Lord Jesus to continue to illuminate our spiritual eyes and open our minds to understand the Bible so that we can see and hear spiritual truths → Understand that God predestined us to be saved and glorified before the creation of the world! Amen.
The above prayers, supplications, intercessions, thanks, and blessings! I ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen
【1】The gospel of salvation
*Jesus sent Paul to preach the gospel of salvation to the Gentiles*
ask: What is the gospel of salvation?
answer: God sent the apostle Paul to preach to the Gentiles "the gospel of salvation by Jesus Christ" → Now, brothers, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you before, in which you also received and in which you stand, and if you Do not believe in vain, but if you hold fast to what I preach to you, you will be saved by this gospel. What I also passed on to you was as follows: First, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. Reference - 1 Corinthians Book 15 verses 1-4
ask: What did Christ solve when he died for our sins?
answer: 1 It makes us free from sin → It turns out that the love of Christ motivates us; because we think that since "Christ" died for all, all died; refer to - 2 Corinthians 5:14 → Because the dead are freed Sin - Romans 6:7 → "Christ" has died for all, so all have died → "He who has died has been made free from sin, and all have died" → All have been freed from sin. Amen! , do you believe it? Those who believe are not condemned, but those who do not believe are already condemned because they do not believe in the name of God's only begotten Son "Jesus" to save his people from their sins → "Christ" died for all, and all died. died; all died, and all were freed from sin.
2 Freed from the law and its curse--see Romans 7:6 and Gal. 3:12. So, do you understand clearly?
ask: And buried, what was solved?
answer: 3 Be freed from the old man and his old ways--Colossians 3:9
ask : Christ was resurrected on the third day according to the Bible → What was solved?
answer: 4 "Jesus Christ was raised from the dead" → solved the problem of "justifying us" → Jesus was handed over to people for our sins; he was resurrected for our justification (or translation: Jesus is for our His trespasses were delivered, and he was raised for our justification) Reference---Romans 4:25
Note: This is → Jesus Christ sent Paul to preach the [gospel of salvation] to the Gentiles → Christ died for our sins → 1 Solved the sin problem, 2 Resolved Law and Law Curse Issues; and Buried → 3 Solving the problem of the old man and his behavior; resurrected on the third day→ 4 It solves "the problems of justification, rebirth, resurrection, salvation, and eternal life for us." So, do you understand clearly? Reference--1 Peter Chapter 1 Verses 3-5
【2】Put on the new man, put off the old man and gain glory
(1) When the Spirit of God dwells in our hearts, we are no longer carnal
Romans 8:9 If the Spirit of God dwells in you, you are no longer of the flesh but of the Spirit. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
ask: Why is it that when the Spirit of God dwells in our hearts, we are not carnal?
answer: For "Christ" died for all, and all died → for you have died and your life "life from God" is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3 → Therefore, if the Spirit of God dwells in us, we are born again into a new man, and the "new man" is not of the "old man of the flesh" → For we know that our old man was crucified with Him, so that The body of sin is destroyed, so that we will no longer be slaves to sin; refer to Romans 6:6, "The body of sin is destroyed," and we no longer belong to this body of death, the body of corruption (corruption). Just like Paul said → I am so miserable! Who can save me from this body of death? Thank God, we can escape through our Lord Jesus Christ. From this point of view, I obey the law of God with my heart, but my flesh obeys the law of sin. Romans 7:24-25, do you understand this clearly?
(2) Having put off the old man, experiencing putting off the old man
Colossians 3:9 Do not lie to one another, for you have put off the old man and its deeds.
ask: “For you have put off the old man and its deeds.” Doesn’t it mean “have put off” here? Why do we still need to go through the process of putting off old things and behaviors?
answer: The Spirit of God dwells in our hearts, and we are no longer in the flesh → This means that faith has “put off” the old man’s flesh → Our “new man” life is hidden with Christ in God; but our “old man” is still there Eat, drink and walk! How does the Bible say "you are dead"? In the eyes of God, your "old man" is dead. We believe that the "old man" is also dead → Christ died for all, and all died → Visibly." The old man is dead; the invisible new man is alive → So We need to experience putting off the “visible old man” → If there were no “old and new man”, a spiritual man born of God and an old physical man born of Adam, there would be no “war between spirit and flesh” as Paul said. Only the original human flesh of Adam has not experienced putting off the old man→ If you have heard his way, received his teachings, and learned his truth, you must put off your old self in your former conduct, which is gradually getting worse due to the deceitfulness of lust. In this way, you will clearly understand Already? Reference--Ephesians Chapter 4 Verses 21-22
(3) Putting on the new man and experiencing the purpose of putting off the old man so that we can be glorified
Ephesians 4:23-24 Be renewed in the mind of yourselves, and put on the new self, created after the image of God in true righteousness and holiness. →So, we don’t lose heart. Though the outer body is being destroyed, yet the inner body is being renewed day by day. Our momentary and light sufferings will work for us an eternal weight of glory beyond compare. It turns out that we care not about what is seen, but about what is unseen; for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Hymn: The Lord is my strength
