"Believe in the Gospel" 11
Peace to all brothers and sisters!
Today we continue to examine fellowship and share "Belief in the Gospel"
Let’s open the Bible to Mark 1:15, turn it over and read together:Said: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel!"
Lecture 11: Believing in the gospel enables us to receive sonship
Question: How to obtain the sonship of God?
Answer: Detailed explanation below(1) The middle partition wall was demolished
(2) Christ used his body to destroy hatred(3) Enmity was destroyed on the cross
Question: What grievances were demolished, abolished, and destroyed?Answer: It is the regulations written in the law.
For he is our peace, and has made the two into one, and has broken down the dividing wall; and in his body he has destroyed the enmity, even the precepts which are written in the law, that he might have made the two by himself A new man thus achieves harmony. Having put an end to enmity on the cross, we have been reconciled to God through the cross. Ephesians 2:14-16
(4) Obliterate laws and documents
(5)Remove it
(6) Nailed on the cross
Question: What did Christ anoint for us? Remove what?Answer: Blot out the writings in the statutes that are against us and are harmful to us, and remove them.
Question: What was the “purpose” of Jesus “blotting out” the laws, ordinances and writings, taking them away and nailing them to the cross?Answer: Anyone who sins breaks the law; breaking the law is sin. 1 John 3:4
Refer to Revelation 12:10 because Satan the devil is before God day and night accusing → brothers and sisters → Is it against the law? Accuse you with laws and regulations and condemn you to death? Satan has to find the laws, regulations and letters as "evidence" to prove that you have violated the law before the judgment seat → condemn you to death; and love our God, Lord Jesus Christ! He blotted out the statutes and letters of the law, the evidence that accused us and condemned us to death, and took them away, nailing them to the cross. In this way, Satan will not be able to use "evidence" to accuse you, nor will he be able to convict you or condemn you to death. So, do you understand? You were dead in your trespasses and uncircumcision of the flesh, but God has made you alive together with Christ, having forgiven you (or translated: us) all our trespasses, and having blotted out all that is in the law Take away the writings (evidences of guilt) that are written against us and against us, and nail them to the cross. Reference Colossians 2:13-14
(7) Freedom from the law and the curse of the law
Question: How to escape the law and curse?Answer: Die to the law through the body of Christ
So, my brethren, you also are dead to the law through the body of Christ... But since we died to the law by which we are bound, we are now free from the law... Romans 7:4 ,6Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming the curse for us; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.” Galatians 3 :13
(8) Obtain the sonship of God
Question: How to obtain sonship?Answer: To redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive sonship.
When the fullness of time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5
Question: Why should those under the law be redeemed?Answer: Detailed explanation below
1 Whoever commits sin breaks the law, and the violation of the law is sin. 1 John 3:42 Everyone who works according to the law is under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the book of the law.” No one is cursed. Being justified before God by the law is evident; for the Scripture says, "The righteous shall live by faith." Galatians 3:10-11
3 For the law provokes wrath (or translation: causes punishment)
So →→
4 Where there is no law, there is no transgression - Romans 4:15
5 Without the law, sin is not considered sin - Romans 5:13
6 For without the law sin is dead - Romans 7:8
7 Whoever sins without the law will perish without the law; and whoever sins under the law will be judged according to the law. Reference Romans 2:12
(The Great Judgment of the Last Day: Brothers and sisters should be sober and pay attention. Those who are (not) under the law, that is, those who are in Jesus Christ, will be resurrected and reign with Christ for a thousand years before the millennium; Those who are under the law will have to wait until "after" the Millennium. These dead people will be handed over and judged according to their deeds under the law and their transgressions and sins. If anyone's name is not recorded, In the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire and perished). If you do not believe that this [gospel] is the power of God, please do not "weep and gnash your teeth" on the Day of Judgment. Refer to Revelation 20:11-15
