Dear friends, peace to all brothers and sisters! Amen,
Let’s open the Bible [1 Corinthians 1:17] and read together: Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach the gospel, not with words of wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be in vain . 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I made up my mind not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified .
Today we study, fellowship, and share together "Preaching Jesus Christ and Him Crucified" Pray: Dear Abba, Holy Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, thank you that the Holy Spirit is always with us! Amen, thank you Lord! "The virtuous woman" sends out workers through whose hands they write and speak the word of truth, which is the gospel of our salvation! Provide us with heavenly spiritual food in time, so that our lives will be richer. Amen! Ask the Lord Jesus to continue to illuminate our spiritual eyes and open our minds to understand the Bible so that we can see and hear spiritual truths → Preaching Christ and His crucified salvation is to reveal the way to salvation, the truth, and life through the great love of Christ and the power of resurrection. When Christ is lifted up from the earth, he will attract all people to come to you. .
The above prayers, supplications, intercessions, blessings, and thanksgivings are made in the holy name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen
( 1 ) The bronze snake hanging on the wood in the Old Testament typifies the salvation of Christ's cross
Let’s look at the Bible [Numbers Chapter 21:4-9] and read it together: They (that is, the Israelites) set out from Mount Hor and went toward the Red Sea to go around the land of Edom. The people were very agitated because of the difficulty of the road, and they complained to God and Moses, "Why did you bring us out of Egypt (the land of slavery) and make us die (that is, starve to death) in the wilderness? (Because most of the wilderness of the Sinai Peninsula is desert), there is no food or water here, and our hearts hate this weak food (at that time, the Lord God dropped "manna" from heaven and gave it to the Israelites as food, but they still hated this food. meager food)” So the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit them. Many people died among the Israelites. (So God "no longer protected" them, and fiery serpents entered among the people, and they bitten them and were poisoned by the venom. Many people among the Israelites died.) The people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned against the Lord and against you. "Please pray to the LORD to take these snakes away from us." So Moses prayed for the people. The LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent and put it on a pole. Whoever is bitten will look at the serpent and he will live." So Moses made a bronze serpent and put it on a pole. Anyone bitten by the snake will live. One look at the bronze snake and it came to life.
( Note: "Fire snake" refers to a venomous snake; "bronze snake" refers to a non-venomous snake that looks like a snake but is not a snake. "Bronze" typifies light and sinlessness - refer to Revelation 2:18 and Romans 8:3. God made the shape of the "brazen serpent" which means "non-venomous" and means "sinless" to replace the "sowing poison means sin" that the Israelites hung on the pole to become a shame, curse and the death of snake poison." This is a type of Christ becoming our sin. The "shape" of the body was used as a sin offering. When the Israelites looked up at the "brazen serpent" hanging on the pole, the "snake venom" in their bodies transferred to the "brazen serpent" and destroyed them. Anyone bitten by a snake would live when he looked at the brazen serpent. Yes. The Israelites have received God’s healing and salvation. Amen, do you understand?
( 2 ) Preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified
John Chapter 3 Verse 14 For as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so will the Son of Man be lifted up. John Chapter 12 Verse 32 If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to myself. " Jesus' words were referring to how he was going to die. John 8:28 So Jesus said: "When you lift up the Son of Man, you will know that I am the Christ.
Isaiah 45:21-22 Speak and present your reasonings, and let them consult with each other. Who pointed it out from ancient times? Who told it from ancient times? Am I not the LORD? There is no God but me; I am the righteous God and the Saviour; there is no other god but me. Look to me, all the ends of the earth, and you will be saved; for I am God, and there is no other.
Note: The Lord Jesus said: "Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of Man was lifted up and "crucified." After you lift up the Son of Man, you will know that Jesus is the Christ and the Savior, who saves us from sin. The God who is free from the curse of the law and free from death → God said through the prophet: "The people in the ends of the earth will be saved if they look to "Christ"." Amen! Is this clear?
( 3 ) God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him
Let us study the Bible [2 Corinthians 5:21] God made him who knew no sin (sinless: original text means knowing no sin) to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him. 1 Peter 2:22-25 He committed no sin, nor was there any deceit in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not retaliate; when he was harmed, he did not threaten him, but he entrusted himself to Him who judges righteously. He hung on the tree and bore our sins personally so that, having died to sin, we might live to righteousness. By his stripes you were healed. You were like sheep that went astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. 1 John 3:5 You know that the Lord appeared to take away sins from men, in whom there is no sin. 1 John 2:2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
( Note: God made the sinless Jesus to become sin for us. He personally bore our sins and was hung on the tree, that is, the "cross" as a sin offering, so that since we died to sin, we can live for righteousness! He is the propitiation for our sins, not for ours only but for the sins of the whole world. Christ offered His body once as a sin offering, thereby making those who are sanctified eternally perfect. Amen! We were once like lost sheep, but now we have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. So, do you understand clearly?
Therefore Paul said: "Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach the gospel, not with words of wisdom, so that the cross of Christ would not be of any effect. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who perish; to us we are being saved. but for the power of God, as it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will destroy the understanding of the wise. "The Jews want miracles, and the Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, which is a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles. God turns the foolish "cross" doctrine into a blessing, so that we can be saved. , to show the great love, power, and wisdom of God, who has made us his wisdom, righteousness, holiness, and redemption. Amen! For I, "Paul," have determined not to know anything but among you.
Knowing Jesus Christ and Him crucified, the words I spoke and the sermons I preached were not in perverse words of wisdom, but in demonstrations of the Holy Spirit and of power, so that your faith may not rest on the wisdom of men but on the power of God. Refer to 1 Corinthians 1:17-2:1-5.
alright! Today I will communicate and share with you all here. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit always be with you all! Amen
