Lecture 2: The True Word of the Gospel
Let us turn to 1 Corinthians 4:15 in our Bibles and read together: You who learn about Christ may have ten thousand teachers but few fathers, for I have begotten you through the gospel in Christ Jesus.
Turn back to James 1:18 According to his own will he gave birth to us in the word of truth, so that we would be as firstfruits of all his creation.
These two verses talk about
1 Paul said! For I have begotten you through the gospel in Christ Jesus
2 Jacob said! God gave birth to us with the truth
1. We were born with the true way

2 "The Word" is God - John 1:1-2
"The Word" became flesh - John 1:14
"God" became flesh - John 1:18
The Word became flesh, was conceived by a virgin and born of the Holy Spirit, and was named Jesus! Amen. Reference Matthew 1:18,21
Therefore, Jesus is God, the Word, and the Word of truth!
Jesus is the truth! The truth gave birth to us, it was Jesus who gave birth to us! Amen.
Our (old man) physical body was previously born of Adam; our (new man) spiritual body was born of the last Adam "Jesus". God gave birth to us with the truth according to His own will. So, do you understand?
In Him you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, when you also believed in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Ephesians 1:13

3 Paul said (you will be saved by believing this gospel) what I also delivered to you: first, that Christ died for our sins and was buried according to the Scriptures; thirdly, according to the Scriptures Heaven is resurrected. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

(1) That our sinful body may be destroyed - Romans 6:6

And buried

(4) Believing in the gospel gives us sonship - Gal. 4:4-7, Ephesians 1:5
(5) Believing in the gospel redeems our body - 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, Romans 8:23,
1 Corinthians 15:51-54, Revelation 19:6-9

Let us pray upward to God together: Thank you Abba Heavenly Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, and thank the Holy Spirit for constantly illuminating our spiritual eyes, opening our minds to hear and see spiritual truths, and allowing us to understand rebirth! 1 Born of water and the Spirit, 2 a servant of God who gave birth to us through the gospel and the faith in Christ Jesus for our adoption as sons of God and the redemption of our bodies at the last day. Amen
