"Believe in the Gospel" 12
Peace to all brothers and sisters!
Today we continue to examine fellowship and share "Belief in the Gospel"
Let’s open the Bible to Mark 1:15, turn it over and read together:Said: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel!"
Lecture 12: Believing in the gospel redeems our bodies
Romans 8:23, Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Question: When will our bodies be redeemed?Answer: Detailed explanation below
(1) Our life is hidden with Christ in God
For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3Question: Are our regenerated lives and bodies visible?
Answer: The regenerated new man is hidden with Christ in God and is invisible. It turns out that we care not about what is seen, but about what is unseen; for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
(2) Our life appears
Question: When does our life manifest?Answer: When Christ appears, our lives will also appear.
When Christ, who is our life, appears, you also will appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:4Question: Does life appear to have a body?
Answer: There is a body!
Question: Is it Adam’s body? Or the body of Christ?Answer: It is the Body of Christ! Because He gave birth to us by the gospel, we are His members. Ephesians 5:30
Note: What is in our hearts is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus, and the Spirit of Heavenly Father! The soul is the soul of Jesus Christ! The body is the immortal body of Jesus; therefore, our new man is not the soul body of the old man, Adam. So, do you understand?
May the God of peace sanctify you completely! And may your spirit, soul, and body (i.e., your reborn soul and body) be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! He who calls you is faithful and will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
(3) Those who fell asleep in Jesus, Jesus brought with him
Question: Where are those who have fallen asleep in Jesus Christ?Answer: Hidden with Christ in God!
Question: Where is Jesus now?Answer: Jesus was resurrected and ascended to heaven. He is now in heaven, sitting at the right hand of God the Father. Our lives and the lives of those who have fallen asleep in Jesus are also in heaven. Reference Ephesians 2:6
Question: Why do some churches (such as Seventh-day Adventists) say that the dead sleep in graves until Christ comes again, and then they come out of the graves and are resurrected?
Answer: Jesus will come down from heaven when he comes again, and concerning those who have fallen asleep in Jesus, of course he will be brought from heaven;【Because the work of redemption of Jesus Christ has been completed】
If the dead are still sleeping in the tomb, their faith will be in big trouble. They will have to wait until the end of the millennium, the final judgment, when death and Hades will hand over the dead among them. If someone's name is not written in the book of life, he will was cast into the lake of fire. So, do you understand? Refer to Revelation 20:11-15We do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are asleep, lest you should grieve like those who have no hope. If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even those who sleep in Jesus will God also bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
Question: Those who have fallen asleep in Christ, will they be resurrected with bodies?Answer: There is a body, a spiritual body, the body of Christ! Reference 1 Corinthians 15:44
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thessalonians 4:16
(4) Those who are alive and remain will be transformed and put on the new man and appear in the blink of an eye.
Now I tell you a mysterious thing: we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in an instant, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet sounds. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. This perishable must be put on ("put on") the incorruptible; this mortal must put on immortality. 1 Corinthians 15:51-53
(5)We will see his true form
Question: Who does our true form look like?Answer: Our bodies are the members of Christ and appear to be like Him!
Dear brothers, we are children of God now, and what we will be in the future has not yet been revealed; but we know that when the Lord appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2 and Philippians 3:20-21
alright! "Believe in the Gospel" is shared here.
Let us pray together: Thank you Abba Heavenly Father, thank you the Savior Jesus Christ, and thank the Holy Spirit for always being with us! May the Lord Jesus continue to illuminate the eyes of our souls and open our minds so that we can see and hear spiritual truths and understand the Bible! We understand that when Jesus comes, we will see His true form, and our new man’s body will also appear, that is, the body will be redeemed. Amen
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen
