Peace to my dear family, brothers and sisters! Amen.
Let’s open our Bibles to Galatians chapter 3 verse 18 and read together: For if the inheritance is by the law, it is not by the promise; but God gave the inheritance to Abraham on the basis of the promise. .
Today we will study, fellowship, and share together "If it is by the law, it is not by the promise" Pray: Dear Abba, Holy Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, thank you that the Holy Spirit is always with us! Amen. Thank you Lord! The virtuous woman [the church] sends workers to transport food from distant places in the sky, and distributes food to us in time to make our spiritual life richer! Amen. Ask the Lord Jesus to continue to illuminate our spiritual eyes and open our minds so that we can hear and see spiritual truths and understand the blessings promised by God in the Bible→ If it is by the law, it is not by the promise; Through "faith" we receive the promised Holy Spirit as a seal, which is the evidence of inheriting the inheritance of the Father. Amen!
The above prayers, thanks, and blessings! I ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen
If it is by the law, it is not by the promise
(1) God promised Abraham’s descendants to inherit the inheritance
Let us study Galatians chapter 3 verses 15-18 in the Bible and read them together: Brothers, let me say it according to the common language of men: Although it is a covenant between men, if it has been established → it means "it has been established between God and man" "A good literary covenant" cannot be abandoned or added to. The promise was made to Abraham and his descendants. →For God promised that Abraham and his descendants would inherit the world, not by law but by the righteousness of faith. --Refer to Romans 4:13 → God does not say "all your descendants," referring to many people, but "your one descendant," referring to "one person," which is Christ.
(2) Anyone who is based on faith will inherit the inheritance of the Heavenly Father
Q: What is faith-based
Answer: Anyone who believes in the "truth of the gospel" is "by faith", relying solely on faith and not on the works of the old man → believing in the "gospel of Jesus Christ" 1 born from the faith of the gospel, 2 born of water and the Holy Spirit, 3 from Born of God! Only then can we inherit the kingdom of God, inherit eternal life, and inherit the inheritance of our Heavenly Father. Therefore, you must know that those who are based on "faith" are the descendants of Abraham. --Refer to Galatians chapter 3 verse 7. What I am saying is that God's covenant in advance refers to God's promise that Abraham and his descendants will inherit the "kingdom of God" in the world. --Refer to Genesis 22:16-18 and Romans 4:13
(3) God’s promises cannot be nullified by the law
It cannot be abolished by the law 430 years later. →_→ refers to the "law of Moses". According to the "righteousness" in the law, no one who keeps the law has violated the law and violated the law. crime. Because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; – refer to chapter 3 verse 23. According to the law →_→ everyone in the world has committed "sin", and the work of "sin" is "death". That is to say, when people die and return to dust, then wouldn’t the blessings promised by God in advance become in vain?
Therefore, the covenant established by God in advance cannot be annulled by the law four hundred and thirty years later, making the promise void. Because if the inheritance is "by the law, it is not by the promise"; but God gave the inheritance to Abraham based on the promise. →_→If only those who belong to the law are heirs, "faith" will be in vain and "promise" will be nullified.
(4) The law arouses anger and punishes people
For the law provokes wrath (or translation: calls for punishment); where there is no law, there is no transgression. →_→ refers to our redemption through Jesus Christ, which makes us → 1 free from sin → 2 free from the law → 3 free from the old man Adam → 4 moved us from the "new man" born of God to the kingdom of the beloved Son. In this way, you are no longer under the law, you will not break the law and sin, and you will not be cursed by the law of judgment. So, do you understand? .
(5) Falling from grace because of the law
Question: What is of the Law?
Answer: Those who are justified by works of the law.
Therefore, it is by "faith" that a person is an heir, and therefore by grace, so that the promise will surely accrue to all descendants; not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who imitate the faith of Abraham. --Refer to Romans 4:14-16. So, do you understand clearly?
Alert: Anyone who is based on the works of the law is cursed, because no one can be justified before God by the works of the law. It is by the "law" and not by "faith", but by the works of the law. Law-based people are alienated from Christ and have fallen from grace. The blessings promised by God were made void by them. Therefore, the blessings promised by God are based on "faith"; not based on "law"! Amen. So, do you understand clearly?
alright! Today I would like to share my fellowship with you all. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit be always with you all! Amen
