Let’s open our Bible to Colossians Chapter 1, verses 13-14, and read together: He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins .

The cross of Christ frees us from the dark power of Satan’s Hades
( 1 ) The whole world is in the hands of the evil one
We know that we belong to God and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 1 John 5:19
Question: Why is the whole world in the hands of evil?
Answer: Those who sin are of the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 → For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; refer to Romans 3:23
→Those who commit crimes belong to the devil, and everyone in the world belongs to the devil, and is under the control of the evil one, the devil.
( 2 ) The sting of death is sin
Die! Where is your power to overcome? Die! Where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 1 Corinthians 15:55-56 → Just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, so death spread to all, because all have sinned. Before the law, sin was already in the world; but without the law, sin is not sin. But from Adam to Moses, death reigned, even those who did not commit the same sin as Adam. Adam was a type of the man who was to come. Romans 5:12-14
3 ) Death and Hades
Psalm 18:5 The cords of Hades are about me, and the snares of death are upon me.
Psalm 116:3 The cords of death have entangled me; the pains of Hades have gripped me; trouble and sorrow have come upon me.
Psalm 89:48 Who can live forever and avoid death, and save his soul from the gates of Hades? (Selah)
Revelation 20:13-14 So the sea delivered up the dead in them, and death and Hades delivered up the dead in them; and they were judged every one according to their works. Death and Hades were also cast into the lake of fire; this lake of fire is the second death.
( 4 ) Through death, Christ destroys the devil who has the power of death
And he said, "In Him I will trust." And he said, "Behold, I and the children God has given me." Since the children share flesh and blood, He Himself also took on flesh and blood, in order that through death To destroy him who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and to set free those who have been enslaved all their lives by fear of death. Hebrews 2:13-15 → When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. He laid his right hand on me and said, "Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last, the one who lives; I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever; and I hold death in my arms. and the keys of Hades Revelation 1:17-18.
( 5 ) Jesus Christ, the Son of God, resurrected us from the dead and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.
He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14
Like the apostle "Paul" who was sent by God → I am sending you to them, that their eyes may be opened, and that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God; that through faith in me they may receive forgiveness of sins, and All who are sanctified share the inheritance. ’” Acts 26:18
