【1】Many are called
(1) Parable of the Wedding Feast
Jesus also spoke to them in parables: “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son, Matthew 22:1-2
ask: What does the king's wedding banquet for his son foreshadow?
answer: The marriage supper of Christ the Lamb→ Let us rejoice and give glory to Him. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and the bride has made herself ready, and it has been given her grace to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and white. (The fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.) The angel said to me, “Write: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb!” And he said to me, “This is the true word of God.” Revelation 19:7-9
So he sent his servants to invite those who were called to the banquet, but they refused to come. Matthew 22:3
ask: Send the servant Ephah. Who is this “servant”?
answer: Jesus Christ, the Son of God → My servant will walk wisely and he will be exalted and become the highest. Isaiah 52:13; “Behold, my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, the delight of my heart; I will put my Spirit on him; he will teach justice to the Gentiles. Matthew Gospel 12:18
Then the king sent other servants, saying, "Tell those who have been called that my banquet has been prepared. The oxen and fattened animals have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Please come to the banquet." ’ Matthew 22:4
ask: Who was the “other servant” the king sent?
answer: The prophets sent by God in the Old Testament, the apostles sent by Jesus, Christians, and angels, etc.
1 Those who are called
Those people ignored him and left; one went to his field; the other went to do business; Matthew 22:5 → This is the "parable of the sower" spoken by Jesus → Some fell into thorns, and the thorns grew up and It chokes; those who were sown among thorns are those who hear the word, but later the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of money choke the word, and it cannot bear fruit → that is, it cannot bear "fruit * the fruit of the Spirit". These people are just Saved, but no glory, no reward, no crown. Reference-Matthew 13 Chapter 7, Verse 22
2 Those who oppose the truth
The rest seized the servants, insulted them, and killed them. The king was furious and sent out troops to destroy the murderers and burn their city. Matthew 22:6-7
ask: The rest took hold of the servant. Who were the "rest"?
answer: A people who belong to Satan and the devil → I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the one who sat on the white horse and his army. The beast was captured, and the false prophet, who worked miracles in his presence to deceive those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image, was captured with the beast. Two of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone; the rest were slain with the sword that came out of the mouth of the one who sat on the white horse; and the birds were filled with their flesh. Revelation 19:19-21
3. Not wearing formal clothes, hypocrite
So he said to his servants, "The wedding banquet is ready, but those who have been called are not worthy." Therefore go up to the fork in the road and call all you find to the banquet. ’ So the servants went out into the road and gathered together everyone they met, both good and evil, and the banquet was filled with guests. When the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who was not wearing a formal dress, so he said to him, "Friend, why are you here without a formal dress?" ’ The man had no answer. Then the king said to his messenger, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. ’ Matthew 22:8-13
ask: What does it mean not to wear a dress?
answer: Not "born again" to put on the new man and put on Christ → Not to be clothed in fine linen, bright and white (the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints) Reference - Revelation 19:8
ask: Who are not wearing formal clothes?
answer: There are “hypocritical Pharisees, false prophets, false brothers in the church, and people who do not understand the true message of the gospel → It is this type of people who sneak into people’s homes and imprison ignorant women. These women are burdened with sin, Being tempted by various lusts and constantly studying, they will never understand the true way. Reference - 2 Timothy 3:6-7.
[2] Few people are chosen, there are 100 times, 60 times, and 30 times.
(1) Hear the sermon people who understand
For many are called, but few are chosen. ” Matthew 22:14
Question: Who do “a few were chosen” refer to?
Answer: He who hears the word and understands → And some fall into good soil and bear fruit; one hundred Times, yes sixty Times, yes thirty times. He who has ears to hear, should listen! ” → Sown on good ground is the one who hears the word and understands it, and then it bears fruit and has one hundred Times, yes sixty Times, yes thirty times. ” Reference-Matthew 13:8-9,23
(2) Those who are called according to His purpose, predestined for glory
We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. For whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Those whom he also predestined he also called; those he called he also justified; those he justified he also glorified. Reference--Romans 8:28-30
OK! That’s all for today’s communication and sharing with you. Thank you Heavenly Father for giving us the glorious way. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit always be with you all! Amen
