Let’s open the Bible [Romans 7:5-6] and read together: Because when we were in the flesh, the evil desires that were born of the law were working in our members, and they bore the fruit of death. But since we died to the law that bound us, we are now free from the law, so that we may serve the Lord according to the newness of spirit (spirit: or translated as the Holy Spirit) and not according to the old way of ritual.
Today we study, fellowship, and share together "The Cross of Christ" No. 3 Speak and offer a prayer: Dear Abba Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, thank you that the Holy Spirit is always with us! Biblical First Testament Law
( 1 ) In the Garden of Eden, God made a covenant with Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Let’s study the Bible [Genesis 2:15-17] and read it together: The Lord God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden to work it and to keep it. The Lord God commanded him: "You may freely eat from any tree of the garden, but you shall not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day you eat from it you will surely die!" (Note: The serpent tempted Eve. Adam broke the law and sinned by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. As a result, sin entered the world through Adam alone, and death came from sin. Then death came to everyone because everyone sinned without the law. , sin was already in the world; but without the law, sin was not considered sin. However, from Adam to Moses, death reigned, even those who did not sin with Adam were "under the law." Under the dominion, under the dominion of sin, under the dominion of death." Adam is a type of the man who was to come, namely Jesus Christ.)
( 2 ) Mosaic Law
Let’s study the Bible [Deuteronomy 5:1-3] and read it together: Then Moses called all the Israelites together and said to them, “O children of Israel, listen to the statutes and regulations that I am telling you today; Learn and keep it. The Lord our God made a covenant with us at Horeb. This covenant was not made with our ancestors, but with us who are here alive today.
( Note: The covenant between Jehovah God and the Israelites includes: the Ten Commandments engraved on stone tablets, and a total of 613 statutes and regulations. It is a covenant that clearly stipulates the law. If you keep and obey all the commandments of the law, you will be blessed. "You will be blessed when you go out, and you will be blessed when you come in." -Refer to Deuteronomy 28, verses 1-6 and 15-68)
Let’s study the Bible [Galatians 3:10-11] and read it together: Everyone who is based on the works of the law is under a curse; for it is written: “Whoever does not continue according to the book of the Law "Cursed is anyone who does all the things that are written in it." It is evident that no one is justified before God by the law; for the Scripture says, "The righteous shall live by faith."
Turn back to [Romans 5-6] and read together: For while we were in the flesh, the evil desires that were born of the law were working in our members, producing the fruit of death. But since we died to the law that bound us, we are now free from the law, so that we may serve the Lord according to the newness of spirit (spirit: or translated as the Holy Spirit) and not according to the old way of ritual.
( Note: By examining the above scriptures, we can see that through the apostle [Paul] who was most proficient in Jewish law, God revealed the "spirit" of the law's righteousness, statutes, regulations and great love: Anyone who is based on the practice of the law, are all under a curse; for it is written: “Cursed is anyone who does not continue in accordance with everything written in the book of the Law.” No one is justified before God by the law. This is obvious. Because when we were in the flesh, the evil desires that were born of the law, "evil desires" are lusts. When lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; when sin becomes full-grown, it gives birth to death - refer to James 1 chapter 15 Festival.
You can see clearly how [sin] is born: "Sin" is due to the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the flesh "the evil desire that is born of the law" begins in the members, and the lust begins in the members. When lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death. From this point of view, [sin] exists because of [the law]. Do you understand this clearly?

3 Without the law, sin is dead. Because if people who are created from the dust keep the law, they will give birth to sin because of the law. The more you keep it, the more sin you will give birth to. Therefore, it is obvious that no one can keep the law. So, do you understand clearly?
( 1 ) Just like "Adam" in the Garden of Eden because of a commandment "not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil", Eve. Adam was tempted by the snake in Eden, and Eve's fleshly desires "the evil that was born of the law" She desires to work in their members, she wants fruit that is good for food, eyes that are bright and pleasing to the eye, knowledge of good and evil, things that are pleasing to the eye, that make people wise. In this way, they broke the law and sinned and were cursed by the law. So, do you understand?
( 2 ) The Law of Moses is a covenant between Jehovah God and the Israelites at Mount Horeb, including a total of 613 ten commandments, statutes, and regulations. Israel did not keep the law, and all of them broke the law and sinned, and were subject to what was written in the Law of Moses. Curses and oaths, and all disasters were poured out on the Israelites - see Daniel 9:9-13 and Hebrews 10:28.
( 3 ) through the body of Christ who died to bind us to the law, we are now free from the law and its curse. Let’s study the Bible Romans 7:1-7 Brothers, I say now to those who understand the law, don’t you know that the law “rules” a person while he is alive? Because "the power of sin is the law. As long as you live in Adam's body, you are a sinner. Under the law, the law controls you and restrains you. Do you understand?"
The apostle "Paul" uses [ The relationship between sin and law ]simile[ woman and husband relationship ] Just like a woman who has a husband, she is bound by the law while the husband is alive; but if the husband dies, she is freed from the law of the husband. Therefore, if her husband is alive and she is married to someone else, she is called an adulteress; if her husband dies, she is freed from his law, and even if she is married to someone else, she is not an adulteress. Note: "Women", that is, we sinners, are bound by the "husband", that is, the law of marriage, while our husband is still alive. If you are not free from your husband's law of marriage, if you marry someone else, you are called an adulterer; our old self is " The woman "died" to the law through the body of Christ on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead so that we can turn to others [Jesus] and bear spiritual fruit to God; if you have not "died" to the law, Even if you are not freed from the "husband" of the law and you marry to Jesus, you have committed adultery and you are called an adulteress [spiritual adulteress]. So, do you understand clearly?
So "Paul" said: Because of the law I died to the law, that I might live to God - refer to Gal. 2:19. But since we died to the law that bound us, we are now free from the law of the "first covenant husband", so that we can serve the Lord according to the newness of the spirit (spirit: or translated as the Holy Spirit) "that is, born of God. The new man serving the Lord "not according to the old ceremonial way" means not according to the old way of sinners in the flesh of Adam. Do you all understand this clearly?
