Peace to all brothers and sisters!

Today we continue to study, fellowship, and share "Knowing Jesus Christ"

Knowing Jesus Christ 2

Lecture 2: The Word became flesh

Let’s open the Bible to John 3:17, turn it over and read together:

This is eternal life, to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ whom you have sent. Amen

(1) Jesus is the Word incarnate

In the beginning there was the Tao, and the Tao was with God, and the Tao was God. This Word was with God in the beginning. …The “Word” became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. And we have beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father.

(John 1:1-2,14)

(2) Jesus is God incarnate

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
The Word is "God" → "God" became flesh!

So, do you understand?

(3) Jesus is spirit incarnate

God is a spirit (or a word), so those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24
God is a “spirit” → “spirit” became flesh. So, do you understand?

Question: What is the difference between the Word becoming flesh and our flesh?

Answer: Detailed explanation below

【same】

1 For since the children share in the same body of flesh and blood, he himself also likewise took part in the same. Hebrews 2:14

2 Jesus was weak in the flesh, just like us. Hebrews 4:15

【different】

1 Jesus was born of the Father-Hebrews 1:5; we are born of Adam and Eve-Genesis 4:1-26
2 Jesus was begotten - Proverbs 8:22-26; we are made of dust - Genesis 2:7
3 Jesus became flesh, God became flesh, and the Spirit became flesh; we are flesh made of dust.
4 Jesus sinless in the flesh and could not sin - Hebrews 4:15; our flesh has been sold to sin - Romans 7:14
5 Jesus’ flesh does not see corruption – Acts 2:31; our flesh sees corruption – 1 Corinthians 15:42
6 Jesus did not see death in the flesh; we see death in the flesh and return to dust. Genesis 3:19
7 The “spirit” in Jesus is the Holy Spirit; the “spirit” in our old man is the spirit of Adam’s flesh. 1 Corinthians 15:45

Question: What is the "purpose" of the Word becoming flesh?

Answer: Since children share the same body of flesh and blood,

Likewise He Himself took on flesh and blood,

In order that through death he might destroy him who has the power of death,
is the devil and will release those
A person who is a slave all his life because of the fear of death.

Hebrews 2:14-15

So, do you understand?

Today we share here

Let us pray together: Abba Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, thank you that the Holy Spirit is always with us! Amen. God! Please continue to illuminate our spiritual eyes and open our hearts so that all your children can see and hear spiritual truths! Because your words are like the light of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until noon, so that we can all see Jesus! Know that Jesus Christ whom You sent is the Word made flesh, God made flesh, and the Spirit made flesh! Living among us is filled with grace and truth. Amen

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen

Gospel dedicated to my dear mother.
